Contract Dispute. Travel agent was authorized agent in United States for a foreign airline, owned by that country's government. Foreign airline breached terms of contract and terminated plaintiff's agency agreement. Calculated lost profits to plaintiff due to contract violations by defendant.

Business Interruption, Lost Profits. Taxicab company was not granted renewal of its license to operate in the City of Los Angeles and subsequently went out of business. Calculated lost profits to company as a result of loss of City license, and estimated costs for company to start up business again, some years later.

Determination of Net Worth. On behalf of plaintiff suing automobile dealership over purchase of defective vehicle, assisted with determination of net worth of dealership. Valuation was complicated because all stock of dealership in lawsuit, and several other dealerships, as well as extensive real estate holdings, was owned by one corporation, which was controlled by a single individual. Intercompany transfers of cash and other assets were extensive, and funds were commingled. Assisted with designation of defendants' books and records to be made available for inspection, conducted inspection of documents, and identified documents to be copied. Performed preliminary analysis of financial position of dealership. At this point, case settled.

Product Liability, Wrongful Death. On behalf of a Big Three automaker, analyzed widow's claim for wrongful death damages when her husband was killed as a result of an auto accident. Involved valuation of three businesses owned by husband and calculations of future loss of earnings from the businesses. Reviewed financial records of the three companies, as well as couple's personal tax returns. Prepared deposition questions for plaintiff's expert economist and several percipient witnesses.
